Ensembles
- Choir
Open to Years 4, 5 and 6, our choir rehearses popular repertoire weekly for a range of performances across the year.
- Orchestra
Year 5 pupils take part in a weekly orchestra of 60 young musicians. This is supported by Harrow Music Service teachers to guide their collaborative rehearsal and performance skills.
- Small Ensembles
This year we are planning to open up small ensemble opportunities for our young musicians who demonstrate dedicated practice.
Music Mentorship
Our Mentoring Programme utilises our upper Key Stage 2 pupils to mentor their peers and young musicians in Years 3 and 4. All pupils are welcome to benefit from additional support in their violin playing from the mentors on Tuesday lunchtimes. Our dedicated Mentors support with music events, music journalism and both the development and promotion of school music across all areas.
The Harlequin Newsletter
Roxbourne Primary School's newsletter of the Performing Arts encompasses the news, reviews and updates of our creative subjects across the school. Pupils have the opportunity to be a guest editor and contribute as a music journalist.
