On behalf of the Governors, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Roxbourne Primary School.  

At Roxbourne, Governors, staff, parents, and children work together in a happy, creative, and  high attaining environment; with our core values of underpinning everything we do.

The Governing Body consists of staff and parent representatives and co-opted Governors who  have the skills required to form an efficient and effective board. They have statutory  responsibility for setting the strategic vision of the school and work closely with the Headteacher  and senior leaders to ensure the children at Roxbourne receive a 

Transformational education and rich opportunities which will enable our pupils to seize their potential as lifelong learners.

There are two sub-committees that meet for specific purposes. The Finance and Resources  Committee and the Curriculum and Achievement Committee. All Governors are attached to one  or both committees. The discussions and decisions made at these meetings feed into the business of the Full Governing Board meetings.

The Governing Body, through financial scrutiny, staff recruitment and performance  management,  health and safety, buildings and maintenance, participation in monitoring activities of Teaching and Learning alongside school leaders, and safeguarding, can offer rigorous and stringent strategic overview of all processes and procedures.

Most importantly, at the heart of Roxbourne Primary School are our children. The school's vision and values are the responsibility of the whole school community, parents, staff, children, and Governors. Together we are committed to make the vision reality to enable our children to seize their full potential.
